FROM THE
ABYSS
I think I got everything sorted out, now. Thanks
for holding.
It's been a long and eventful week -- my brother's
wedding is coming up this Saturday, and the air is thick with tension. Which
is not to say that Jason's dreading the idea of married life, only that it's
very clear he wishes he did not have to deal with all the associated pomp
and circumstance beforehand. Sucker.
My week, on the other hand, is looking to be
pretty uneventful save for the necessary acquisition of some new shoes.
Nevertheless, I've absorbed a considerable amount of secondhand tension,
leading to me feeling unusually antsy without having any concrete event to
tie it to.
I suppose there IS the best man's toast at
the reception, which I still haven't, you know... worked on... I have a feeling
it'd be easier to write a toast if I didn't actually know the toastees; I'm
pretty quick on the draw with vague compliments. "They're a great couple.
They're made for each other. That's ONE couple that'll never murder one another
for their insurance money." And so forth.
In other news, I'm currently preparing a
new original comic art sale, four pieces, which I'm going to be
offering for sale, individually, on this website for a flat rate for a week,
at which point I will then take any that are unsold at the end of the week
and put them up for auction on ebay. This will, hopefully, address the concerns
of any of you who don't have the fortitude to handle a bidding war.
I'll give you more details on that as they
develop -- in the meanwhile, enjoy the new comics, and with any luck, there'll
be no further interruptions. Fingers crossed.
